I look forward to seeing my Lord, my savior and and creator in heaven and continue to serve and worship Him.I to meet to meet My Lord.see you soon! Thanks for this great hub! SubRon7, thank you so much for reading and responding. I, too, look forward to reconnecting to those who have gone before me and to meeting those in heaven that I’ve didn’t meet on earth. Another great hub, Revmjm. When that day comes I’m hoping to re-connect with all who have gone before me. I like what you write about Heaven but you don’t back it up with verse from the bible. Can you do this for your readers?

This would help in so many ways. Looking forward to seeing you there. 9, I look forward to the same. Thanks for reading and responding. I too look forward to seeing my creator when my room is ready. Barb B., you are right to an extent. We will live in heaven forever, but it will be a new heaven. The heaven and earth as we know it today will pass away and a new heaven will be in this place that we now call earth. By the way, there is no “s” on Revelation. That’s one of my pet peeve when I teach the book. I tell my students there is no such book as Revelations, so on a test I have to mark it wrong. No, I don’t do so much thinking, as reading the Word. Jesus said we would be with Him, and yes, right now He is at the right hand of God. However, where is it written we will be in heaven forever?

We have eternal life, we will be with Him, but where is it written that heaven is our forever home? Let us read His Word and believe it, for it is life ! I was really amazed at reading His Word about these things, because I used to believe our church telling us we would live in heaven forever. It will be heaven on earth, actually. Which was God’s design right from the beginning. Barb B. I can tell from your comment that you have been thinking about this. Good for you. I think we should think and reflect on our heavenly home and what it would be like. Thank you so much for reading and and for your detailed comment. You know what I find interesting? Almost everyone believes we, as believers, are going to live in heaven forever. But I do not read that in the scriptures ! We are there the seven years during earth’s tribulation, and then come down to earth with Christ Jesus to rule and reign for a thousand years. Then God creates a new heaven and a new earth. Why a new earth if we are in heaven? Food for thought, hey?

I like the way you clarified the term “rest.” Being at “rest” is not the same as being bored. And Heaven will also be a place of fellowship (with or without social networking sites?), service, growth and worship. It definitely sounds like we’ll have plenty to do. And see. And enjoy. It is not just insight but revelation. Dave, I never thought of it that way before. Thanks for that insight! What He wrote on the ground is simple. He was writing sins like theft, abuse, adultery, incest, lying, cheating. His statement to the town, “Let anyone who is without sin,” and then reading such sins in the soil would be enough to convict the conscience of anyone there. Dave, I want to have some good conversations with the Old Testamant people. I want to know from Jesus what He wrote on the ground when the men brought the woman caught in adultery to him. I have always been fully aware of what I will be doing back “Home” I cannot wait to get there. I also look forward to some very interesting conversations with Jesus and the prophets on many topics. Tamarajo: You are absolutely right. We will not be BORED in heaven. The concept will not even exist. Good clarification about some misconceptions about heaven. Boredom is one I hear a lot from people. While I follow the Lord there is no such thing. There is certainly nothing boring about Him or being in his presence. I’m glad that we will be forever learning.
