Might be VFD – variable frequency drive? Never met variable frequency transformers! Google “VFD”.

It enables the change in power between grids. So far as i understand there’s two in existance, one out of Quebec and something in Texas. In my opinion they’re also building one out of NJ.It’s referred to as a “continuously variable phase shifting transformer that may operate in an adjustable phase position”

It’s two different systems within the Quebec and Texas-Mexico line.
We’ve thread around the issue.
Quebec it’s some rotate system of GE.

I had been somewhat involved using these projects. There is trouble at first rich in magnetic forces attempting to tear the factor apart. This needed addtional bracing. Also challenge with the drive controling rotation from the windings. Virtually only a BIG science project.

I do not accept you. I’d chance spoken towards the guy who invented the VFT factor it’s a big generator just like a hydro unit stator side connect with one for reds and rotor connect to another side.
It’s a very talent idea and equipment. the first HQ make the the border between Canada and us I suppose.visit google and there is a interesting employees.

I’m wondering if a person has renamed a rotary phase ripper tools a flexible frequency transformer. I believe these were generally accustomed to transfer power between 60 Hz and 25 Hz systems, in order to derive 25 Hz from 60 Hz.

We’d exactly the same in Germany: Some rotating machinery of the type was built by Siemens Berlin. These were converting 50 Hz three phase power into 16 2/3 Hz single phase power for that German Railway traction grid. The 500 revoltions per minute group of 31.25 MVA was comprised of a 16 2/3 Hz single phase generator, driven with a 50 Hz three phase asynchronous motor. A slip machine (type Siemens-Lydall) seemed to be robotically along with this ripper tools.
