Go to the website The Creativity Post. On the toolbar click on CREATE. Select one article that appeals to you from this particular category.
Use the title of the article and author’s name as the first line of your post. Put it in bold print.
Paragraph 1: (10-15 sentences) Briefly describes the main ideas. Give examples. What conclusions does the author make?
Paragraph 2: (10-15 sentences) Give your evaluation of the ideas. Use your critical thinking skills and put some thought and reflection into your response. What were the best points? What were the weak points? Explain why. Were there any relevant ideas that the author failed to discuss? What is innovative or creative about these ideas? Why did you select this topic? How do the ideas relate to your life or experiences? Give examples. How can you incorporate these ideas into your life? For example, include comments such as: “I selected this article because… I think the author’s best ideas are….I think the weak points are…I think these ideas are creative because….These ideas are relevant to me because…etc.

POSTS MUST BE ORIGINAL. Check the topics already posted.
DO NOT DUPLICATE THE SAME SUBJECT AS ANOTHER STUDENT’S POST.
USE THE TWO PARAGRAPH FORMAT: APPROXIMATELY 10-15 SENTENCES EACH PARAGRAPH
USE YOUR OWN WORDS: No lists or bullet points or quotes.
Put the AUTHOR AND TITLE IN BOLD PRINT IN THE FIRST LINE OF YOUR POST
TOTAL WORD COUNT OF ENTIRE POST: 350-450

After submitting your post, review and comment on TWO other student’s posts. Each reply should be a paragraph with 100-125 words. Include thoughtful comments that specifically relate to the ideas presented in the post. DO NOT simply agree and summarize or quote the post. Give your opinion of the topic or add some additional information. Explain your reasoning. Or, offer an alternative perspective on the topic. In your opinion, what was the best point made in the post? Explain why. We want to know your perspective on the topic based on your knowledge and experiences. Generic comments like: Wow, that’s interesting or Thanks for sharing do not count towards the minimum requirement.
Please note: Your reply should be original and express your opinion. Read the replies before you post yours. Do not restate another student’s reply. You will need to add a new dimension or offer a new perspective on the topic. Reply to a different post if another student has already stated what you were going to say. Redundant replies will be downgraded.
Grades: This is your class participation grade. Posts and replies are graded on quality and full credit is not automatic.
