Description:
An essential goal of this class is that you come to know the person and work of God more fully through studying the book of Daniel. To fulfill this goal, each student will write a brief “Theological Reflections” essay (250 words min.) on the chapter of Daniel under consideration.
Focus your writing on how God works with faithful servants, as well as proud rulers, on the way to establishing his everlasting kingdom. Demonstrate how one can learn about the character of God through the clear statements of both the narratives and visions. Stay theocentric (God-centered) throughout (avoid heroizing Daniel and his friends). Two questions should guide your reflections:
1. What aspects of God’s character are evident in the text?
2. How does God work with the individuals in the story?
Assessment: Essays will be evaluated for completeness, addressing the relevant theological issues in each literary unit, and writing competency (a thoughtful and logical development of your work).
5. RESOURCE INTERACTIONS . Also a summary of plus the apocryphal book, “Prayer of Azariah and the Song of the Three Jews.” No footnotes or bibliography needed also no page numbers needed or name in the corner and also no need for a cover page
