THREE COMPONENTS OF THIS ASSIGNMENT:
**PART 1.) For this assignment, please retrieve and review THREE published research articles (With at least one quantitative and one qualitative study) related to the Evidence-Based Research Clinical Topic: Polypharmacy in the Elderly. (Use one of the Library Data bases such as CINAHL or Medline…)
Use research articles published within the last 7 years. Do not use textbooks, opinion articles, commentaries, case studies, or literature review articles.
Provide a SEPARATE ABSTRACT for each of the THREE Research Studies you selected. Include for each study:

3. Theory (if included; if not included, say so!)
4. Variables of the Study (Independent/Predictor and Dependent/Outcome Variables)–Not applicable if a qualitative study.
5. Methods: Name a specific research design e.g. an experimental, quasi-experimental, descriptive, correlational–as examples of quantitative designs or grounded theory, ethnography, phenomenological as examples of a qualitative study.
6. Sample/participants (sample/participant description and sample/participant size)

9. Implications
The research article must be referenced in strict accordance with APA format.

Note: Please follow APA format closely. Remember that the titles of articles and books are lower cased except for the first word or after a colon (:). Also remember that Journal names are capitalized and italicized and that book titles are also italicized.
**PART 2) Discussion of the Differences Between Quantitative and Qualitative Research

Use the specific critique guidelines presented in Polit and Beck (2016) for quantitative or qualitative studies found on pages 102-109.

3. Provide specific information from the article itself as you discuss and critique these studies so that I can understand the details from the study.

5. In each section of the critique, you are to identify the strengths and weaknesses, presenting your own rationale (positive and negative critique comments) about the value of this research.
