Modern History Architecture

Your research project building proposal will contain
eight total pages (8.5 x 11 inches, 11-point font, 1.5
line spacing):

– First, choose a 20th-century typology that
interests you. Post your ideas in the assignment
Discussion topic.

Second, select one building that fits that
typology from every continent (six buildings
total).

Third, research those buildings and collect at
least 12 credible sources (two per building).

Fourth, choose which of those six buildings
you will propose to research this semester.

Page 1 should have a title block (see the ARH Writing
Standards) and a written proposal (at least half a
page) that explains which of the six buildings you wish
to research and why you have chosen it

Pages 2—7 will each have one image, drawing, or
diagram and half a page of written summary on one of
the buildings. Explain in clear writing the most notable
features of the buildings and all its essential
information (architect, date, location, patron).
