English Literature-The Life of Pi

The Life of Pi

Martel argues for the value of religion and faith, but approaches the subject from a somewhat unique standpoint. What is the difference between faith and religion? What does it mean to have a true faith? Using passages from the novel, explain whether or not you think that Pi develops a true faith or just an appreciation for faith. Explain the flaws and/or noteworthy attributes of Pi’s quest for faith.
