You are going to use your RESEARCH sources (if you can) from your Annotated Bibliography(on the American Dream) and write your RESEARCH ESSAY. This essay should be 10 paragraphs, 7 or more sentences a paragraph. will be persuasive; it will be 10 paragraphs (approximately 10-15 pages); your annotated bibliography IS NOT YOUR Works Cited
You’ll draft an arguable thesis (that means there will be a claim, but one that can be substantiated with your data).
The paragraphs should be roughly equal in length and depth (if one is considerably longer it likely needs editing). Your introduction should establish your methods and theorists for developing your thesis. The thesis MUST BE THE LAST SENTENCE OF YOUR INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH.
You need topic sentences for each paragraph (each one should have a specific focus, not be a continuation of a previous paragraph). You will have at least one source in each paragraph and you’ll have a paraphrase or direct reference (quote) with in-text citations. Your conclusion should mirror your introduction, but not just be a loosely reworded copy of it.
Before you upload your paper take some time and reread it to make sure you don’t end on a quote, don’t have first/second person, don’t have contractions. Go through your sentences and make sure they have direct subjects and the verb phrases all make sense. If you end a paragraph with a quote or someone else’s data/words, you need to fix that.
