“A quality public education system is one that accepts the challenge of serving its diverse student populations” (Northeast and Islands Regional Education Laboratory, 2002, p. 2).
Ethnicity is one aspect of diversity that you begin exploring this week and conclude in Week 8. You select from a list of six ethnic groups, exploring one this week and a different one next week, focusing on issues and strategies related to educating students in each ethnic group. As you are learning in this course to be aware of issues related to diversity, this week you also consider how you can share what you are learning with your colleagues who work with diverse students.
This week, you analyze issues related to providing instruction to diverse ethnic groups and explore how you might adjust instruction to accommodate this diversity. You create a presentation for the purpose of educating others about issues related to diversity in educational settings. Continue working on your Annotated Bibliography by adding several resources.
