Definition of a Cultural Activity: any act that is performed repeatedly and ritualistically by a group of people, usually for the betterment of the people.

For this paper, select a cultural activity of your choice from Renaissance and
Roman, time period .
The cultural activity may be anything, ranging from the traditional to the nontraditional. Some of the traditional examples are the visual arts (painting, sculptor, stained glass, metallurgy, textiles, pottery, etc.), drama, philosophy, literature, architecture, or music.

For example, if you are interested in early western money, research the process in Rome (or another culture/period) of how it was made, what it was made of, and what symbol or leader sported the coin’s faces. Research this subject from a specific time and location, with specific examples.

Criteria:
1. A good, clear thesis is the key to a good paper! Develop a thesis that 1) locates your cultural activity in a specific time and place, and 2) states exactly how that activity is a meaningful cultural expression for its people.

2. Develop a few chosen examples (approximately two or three) of your cultural activity that best support your thesis. Give detail to your examples.

3. Provide a little background information, biography and/or context of the subject matter, approximately 1 paragraph. HOWEVER, this is not a report. The main content of this paper should consist of demonstrating how your cultural activity was significant to that culture at that time period.

4. The paper is to be 3 pages long (this does not include the bibliography page),

5. You should have a minimum of three sources

6. Use either MLA documentation style.
