TARGET AUDIENCE INTERVIEWS

Seek out 4-5 people who belong to the audience you would like to target for your brand/product/service and conduct brief interviews (Ex: Five 18-25 year olds who could potentially volunteer at or donate to your organization). Are these individuals aware of your proposed client’s brand/product/service? If they are, what words come to their mind to describe it? What type of products/brands/services do these audience members enjoy? 

 

Consider the questions discussed in Chapter 2 (p.34) to help build your consumer profile.

1. What do we want to accomplish (objective)?

2. Who are we talking to? (Target Audience)

3. What do they think now? (Current Position)

4. What do we want them to think? (Reinforce position or reposition)

5. Why should they think this? (features/benefits)

6.  What is our message? (The one thing and how you say it and show it-the tone)

 

Take detailed notes on the responses you receive. In a few paragraphs (4-5) discuss your findings. What can you use from your interviews to successfully pitch your client’s product/service or market their brand in your final creative brief?

 

Who is the target audience?

Young adults (18-25) looking to be enrolled at a 4yr University.

 

In a Word document, introduce the option that you selected for your assignment and offer a brief justification for why this option works best for your final creative brief. Then, include the 4-5 paragraph reflection on the research you conducted. Your paper should be in APA format and should include a reference page citing all sources (interviews, periodicals, etc.).
