- You must write in the 3rd
- Please do not use “I”, the “author”, or “practitioner”. For example instead of writing “I carried out a holistic patient assessment” you could write “an holistic patient assessment was conducted” Instead of “the author felt this to be inappropriate practice” you could write “this not best practice because” etc..
Developing an argument
- Remember to use “what, why and who said so” as a basic writing guide.
- “What” refers to explaining the situation.
- “Why” is explaining why the situation is important or needs to be discussed.
- “Who said so” is who would support what you are saying i.e. the supporting theory, policy or referential material.
Structuring your work
- You need a logical structure to your work, e.g. follow the assignment guide.
