Defend Thoreau & Condemn Thoreau

I hope by now you have read Thoreau’s “Resistance to Civil Government,” and I hope that it has affected you in some way, good or bad. This assignment will be quite simple to explain (and will count as a small essay grade). What I want you to do is this:

In a one page, single-spaced (Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, 1″ margins) paper: Defend Thoreau.

In a one page, single-spaced (Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, 1″ margins) paper: Condemn Thoreau.

Be VERY specific, and use “Resistance to Civil Government” to help make your argument.

You can write these however you want, but the more detailed you are the better off you will be. And upload both papers as ONE DOCUMENT, don’t forget that part!
