Narrative Essay Paper on a Memorable Incident

There are those incidences that occur in life that are so memorable they continue to linger in one’s mind nonetheless, such events usually leave a permanent mark in the lives of individuals and offer lessons that must not be erased by another experience in life. My memory event took place many years ago when, because of my fascination, I decided to accompany my grandfather into the hospital. As a consequence of his old age, my grandfather had begun experiencing significant problems with his left eye. He’d visited the hospital on many occasions to find treatment but his illness wasn’t getting any better. Eventually, his physician advised him that the only remedy left was to proceed for an eye operation as a method of trying to correct the abnormality along with his eye. As it was a weekend and I didn’t have any courses that day and didn’t have any other duties, I believed it’d be a fantastic idea to accompany my cousin into the hospital instead of remain in the home and be bored. The tight relationship that had grown between my grandfather and me also made it quite easy for me to accompany him regardless of the fear I had of hospitals and operations generally.
My uncle drove us to the hospital; 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital and ensuring that my grandfather had checked, my uncle left to get a dedication he had to take care of. Luckily, there were several helpful nurses available to offer any help which my grandfather required and the physicians were very friendly. The physicians sensed the high amount of nervousness both my grandfather and I were feeling and talked to us so nicely that we ended up relaxing and perceiving the operation as something normal and nothing to worry much about. It was not long before both my grandfather and I felt relaxed and prepared for the operation, as we forgot the high amount of nervousness we’d felt only a few moments earlier. I’ve always had this fear of physicians and shots, so even as I started to relax, thoughts of the impending operation could not escape my thoughts, since I knew the operation would be more serious compared to shots I feared so much.
Interestingly, the whole operation lasted just one hour and my grandfather was wheeled out of the surgery using a bandage about the operated eye, but he was conscious and in very substantial spirits. I cannot forget the look on my grandfather’s face and the sensation of relief that he expressed, understanding that the problem with his eye was finally over. At that very moment, my anxiety about doctors vanished and I started appreciating the significant role that physicians play in everyday life. That’s the moment I decided that I wanted to be a physician and, now, I’m pursuing a course in medication.
Tips on Writing a Narrative Essay:
Remember that the events in your essay have to be set in chronological order. Otherwise, it will not be easy for the readers to follow your story. Along with this, it’s better if your story has a goal. From time to time, simple retelling of specific events isn’t enough to even for high school.
