In March 2015, snap polls became conducted to represent Israel’s twentieth parliament. This was inclusive of disagreements that are between Likud party and the ruling coalition. Individuals who took part in decision-making included Benjamin Netanyahu the prime minister and Yesh Atish party was also involved.
In the government, all the ministerial positions became divided among three parties. The major cause that contributed to chaos was attributed to disagreement on policies. A good example is clear when the government revealed its interest to annex settlements that belonged to the West Banks. If this plan succeeded, the finance minister from Yesh Atid party had threatened to destroy the government (Strickland, 2015 1). The reason is that Ariel had built plenty of structures in West Bank. It was after Fatah and Hamas from Palestine came up with an agreement.
Furthermore, Jennet from Jewish home in coordination with various members from Likud party had an agreement. Their intentions were to increase the number of settlements that were located in West Bank. In addition, these settlements threatened to divide the coalition. The best condition was to facilitate elections and embrace new strategies. Parties that were part of the election incorporated the Likud party. The leader was Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who was still in office.
The top party succeeded by winning twenty seats. Those who were in the second position won 24 seats. In this regard, they were led by Tzipi Livni and Isaac Herzog. The individuals who were in the third position won 13 seats. In this regard, Yes Atish party won 11 seats. Those in the last category were Yisrael Beiteinu, who won six seats. United Torah Judaism managed to secure five seats only.
