Last week, you should have read Shakespeare’s Hamlet. In Hamlet, the protagonist has internal conflict with the death of his father and betrayal of his uncle. Most importantly, the betrayal of his mother. His conscience will not allow him to rest until he seeks the revenge of his father. However, another dynamic of his character as a man, is his relationship with his mother.
In a 3-paragraph discussion, discuss his relationship with his mother. How does he feel about her betrayal of his father’s legacy? What is his response to her? How does his response to other women in his world change because of his feelings toward his mother?
