English Assignment Help

 1.

This discussion is for you to present your thoughts on the 18 June 2017 Jabiru J430 accident (Australian aviation investigation number: AO2017-063) and possible causal factors associated with the engine failure in flight (Jabiru 3300A engine). This accident occurred in Australia, and some of the aircraft maintenance rules are slightly different, but for this accident investigation you will apply the FAA rules and regulations to the accident during your analysis. The discussion forum is designed to facilitate an understanding and application of reciprocating engine system component relationships and engine performance calculations. As with many investigations, not all the information will be available to the investigator. Therefore, an investigator must apply his/her knowledge and consider other potential contributing factors, which is sometimes called taking a 360-degree view of the accident factors.

You will learn much more from participating in the investigation without any previous knowledge of the events or circumstances. But if you are familiar with the accident, or have done a little research and discovered the causes of the accident, please allow your classmates the opportunity to perform their own assessment.

  3. In your own words, what engine parameters were visually available to the pilot and how were these indications important to the pilot making a decision?
  4. What possible factors contributed to the engine failure? Example: processes, procedures, maintenance, environmental, operational, etc.
  5. What, if anything, would you do differently in the investigation?
