Computer Science Research paper Forensics Analysis of LG Smart TV

The internet can now be connected to Smart TVs. Therefore, this experiment aims to further extend on such research, explore the use of ‘smart TVs’ and conduct a forensic analysis of the data which can be used as an evidence. LG smart TV Model No: “47LA6210-TD” seized on Januray, 2018
and the experiment deducted on Februray 18, 2018.

Experiment:
We try to conduct live extracts for the data but difficulty on connecting the memory and power supply faced us. Afterward, we started the chip off technology by removing the chip from the motherboard after being exposed to the heat for 3 minutes on 300 c. The chip serial number “THGBM5G5A1JBAIR” has been checked and the reader “VBGA169E” matched. The chip has been placed on the reader after soldering process. All the data has been saved to external drive after extracted and has been read using the forensic tool “UFIED PHSICAL ANALYZER”. The expected results will be as follows:
– Analysing the user behaviour after going through the stored picture and cache history.
– Understanding the OS file system and file structure.

The reports should have the following sections:
– Abstract
– Introduction
– Problem Statement
– Literature Review half page for each topic (smart TV Forensic , Evidence can be taken from smart TV, WebOS LG smart TV, vulnerabilities in LG smart TV, Attacks can be conduct on smart TV)
